MyChevrolet App shows Generic Image of Vehicle
I’ve had the same issue with my 2019 Trax as well. It used to show up as silver until about a year ago, then suddenly something changed with the app and my vehicle now shows as black. I’ve spoken to many OnStar representatives, including Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and even Level 4 technicians, and still no one has been able to figure it out. At the same time, I used to be able to see my vehicle’s live location and speed, and now I can’t. I can see the location, but there is no live vehicle tracking or movement, and no speed showing. I am not sure what changed, but I am going to cancel my plan if this is not fixed by the end of the month.

Thank you for sharing this, @Zwickerta. We can understand the frustration that can accompany unexpected app issues. As an initial troubleshooting step, we recommend uninstalling and reinstalling your app, even if you have done so already in your previous connections with OnStar. This helps to ensure you have the most updated version for top performance. From there, perform a global refresh by pulling down from the top of the screen when in the Vehicle Status feature. If this doesn’t help to update your vehicle details and resolve your concerns, send us a private message to OnStar_Support with more information so we can look into things further with you.
