We do apologize for any previous miscommunications with our enrollment Advisors. Thank you kindly for sharing your recent experience with us. This is not the service that we strive to provide our Members, and we would like to assist further with any ongoing troubles with your Vehicle Status feature. If you have already attempted to uninstall and reinstall the app from your device, and completed a Power Cycle, please email us additional details to socialmedia@gm.com with ATTN: OnStar Community/lmpbp in the subject headline. This will allow us to locate your Community post and take a further look into your account details on our end. We hope to hear from you soon.

It actually started working again I'm happy to report.
What I did was switch my onstar plan then switch back. The act of switching plans seems to have caused the communication between my car and the app to be restored. Now, I don't want to make any changes as its working just as I want it.
To anyone else experiencing a similar issue, try switching your OnStar plan online then wait about an hour or so and switch back. See if it starts updating again.
Hey so I also was having to go back and forth with Onstar customer service to no avail for over a month. Turns out the vehicle status will only update if you have their Onstar connect plus plan which is 24.99/month. The free one remote access and connected access that comes standard on the car when you purchase it will not reflect the most up to date vehicle status information (tire pressure, fuel level/miles to empty, mileage, oil life, etc) anymore. They NEED to update the description of these plans because it’s throwing a lot of people off thinking the car is the issue.
I just bought a new Vette and its supposed to be included and so on my app it shows as well and my plans..agree about their "description---its called bait and switch actually.
