2023 Colorado - WiFi disabled with active Connection Plus plan
For reference, today is Wed Jun 25 2025. In Mar 2025, I paid a hefty sum to OnStar for all the services including on-board WiFi hotspot. The service abruptly stopped working two to three days ago. Nothing I do on my side works. I've "forgotten" all connections, restarted my phone, rebooted the infotainment system, reconnected, disconnected vehicle battery, basically everything I can do on my side. In addition, this prevents my wireless CarPlay from working. Looking for someone at OnStar to respond so I can provide my VIN and all that good stuff. Is there a known problem with OnStar and WiFi hotspot?

Follow-up. This ended up being a software glitch issue with the vehicle - not an OnStar issue. I went into vehicle setting > Reset Options > Factory Reset. The "safemode" option for a soft reboot of the infotainment system did not work. I did have to wrangle with the system and phone for one iteration to get the phone connected. It was being stubborn but I got it connected. I lost everything that I'd configured on all the settings; however, my system now works, I have WiFi hotspot back for my kid and have wireless CarPlay back. I'd like to thank Chevrolet for not debugging their infotainment system before putting vehicles on dealer lots and for causing customers untold amounts of time and frustration to deal with.
