Reduced Feature OnStar Plan
I get what you’re saying, a lot of people feel the same way. Right now OnStar mostly bundles features together, so even if you only want something simple like remote access, you still end up paying for the full package. They don’t really offer a true “a la carte” option yet, so your best bet is to contact support and ask if there’s any lower-tier or promo plan available in your area. Sometimes they can adjust pricing or suggest a more basic option depending on your account.
Honestly, it comes down to whether the convenience is worth the monthly cost. Some people just skip it and use the key fob or other alternatives like you mentioned.
