OnStar Scammed
I just had the exact same experience! I have a 2021 Yukon that has had Wi-Fi through ATT for the same price the entire 4 1/2 years that we've had the vehicle. I received an email that said that my debit card was going to expire soon... I received the card on Friday, called today (next business day, Monday) and was told that my card number wasn't in the system? They told me to call and didn't say anything about the ability to change it online. I gave them the number again with the new exp date and code. When they tried to sell me on upgrading, I told them I was only interested in the current Wi-Fi package that I had. She then told me that was not available anymore! They could give it to me for a $1 cheaper for 6 months, but then it goes up $10 more than I've paid for 5 years. I've received no communication on a rate change. All I did was call to update my exp. date. They lied to me and said that I didn't have the Unlimited Data package in their system anymore. I logged in to my account and it showed that they were set to charge me the same price I've paid since 2020 on Thursday. Now I log in and magically the package that I had is missing. Scammers! I'll never pay another dime to OnStar and now that GM automatically charges for OnStar, I'll never buy another GM vehicle just out of principle.
I had a nearly identical experience. Complete trash and complete scam.
