Bring back the weather app!
I discovered yesterday that the Weather Channel app has been discontinued. I'm not happy about this! I use this app constantly. It's really the only add on app that I use in the car. I love it when I'm driving long distances alone and I need to check the weather. It's so much safer to look at the radar quickly on the screen vs trying to pull it up on my phone while I'm driving. I live in the Midwest and the weather can change quickly, especially in the spring and summer. OnStar is about being safe in your vehicle. I can't think of any apps that they offer that are more important to safety than the weather app. Please bring it back! I will definitely pay a little extra to have the app. It's important to me and my safety! I called OnStar yesterday to let them know my concerns about this decision. I hope they decide to bring it back!

Why did they get rid of the Weather Channel app. It was my favorite app and was really nice to have when traveling. BRING IT BACK PLEASE

Agreed. I use the app via my Cadillac at least once a day, if not more.. I thought Onstar is all about safety and the security of the people who drive GM vehicles. The Weather Channel app has probably saved more lives than any other available. Does anyone one know the reasoning behind the decision? When I called Onstar, they couldn’t tell me.

Same here no explanation at all. Just said it was discontinued. Not only didn't they let us know they were doing it but no reason either. Makes us wonder just what we are even paying for anymore.

BRING IT BACK! I use this app every single day. I don't pay money for OnStar for stupid apps. This app keeps you informed and is also used for safety. PLEASE PUT IT BACK! It's probably the most useful app you offer. Very stupid and very sad.

I noticed it disappeared too without any warning or notification.

It does stink. So convenient. If you have an iPhone and use CarPlay you can add a weather app that will appear on your GM vehicle that still offers CarPlay. I use MyRadar and Drive weather to get weather on my infotainment screen.

Too bad DOGE has finally hit us end users. NOAA and FCC are/were mandated to provide emergency information to citizens. This is provided by cell phone, radio, streaming services, etc. TWC is a private company the provides its own weather info. This app was subsidized by the government so TWC could provide audible emergency updates and real time data. DOGE, king trump and princess musk, have now made this app a non-essential product and will not pay TWC to maintain and update app. OnStar will not pay for updates, look at other apps on your vehicle which need subscription, since OnStar is only a vehicle to get app to your car. So again you get what you voted for with king trump and princess musk. I don`t see this app returning unless it comes back as a paid app by us users. Congrates americans. Did this just make america great again, not

The information center is useless without the weather app. And a big safety concern for my family when traveling. We are not asking this is a mandate from. Chevy users.
