I activated a remote access plan only to find out my phone was no longer compatible with mychevrolet app. Is there another way to use the plan or do I need to cancel until I upgrade phone

The latest version of the myChevrolet app is compatible with Apple devices with iOS 13 and higher and Apple Watch devices with watchOS 6.0 and higher. The myChevrolet app is also compatible with Android smartphones which support Android OS 9 or newer. Android tablets are not supported.
If your mobile device does not meet these qualifications, you will not be able to utilize the myChevrolet mobile app. If your device does meet these qualifications, and you're still having difficulties utilizing the app, please send us an email at socialmedia@gm.com and we ask that you have your subject line as ‘ATTN: OnStar Community/nancyspears’ so we can reference back to this post.
