MyChevrolet remote services
I'm looking at purchasing a 2025 Chevrolet Suburban. I understand it comes with 8 years of the MyChevrolet mobile app. Does the remote start work from MyChevrolet app work for the entire 8 years without an OnsStar subscription?

Great question. All 2025 and newer vehicles now come with OnStar Basics. Owners of 2025 and newer model year vehicles automatically receive core OnStar features for 8 years, including Automatic Crash Response and remote commands. Select mobile app commands can be used with compatible vehicles through your myChevrolet mobile app. If your vehicle is eligible, you will be able to lock or unlock your car, remotely start your vehicle, see its location, check the status of it’s health, open your trunk and turn on the lights — all from your mobile app. If you wish to subscribe to a plan of your choosing after your vehicle’s included features expire, you can choose from our available plans. You will not be automatically enrolled into a new plan. With this, if you have any other questions, kindly let us know.
