Onstar module malfunction/ refund
I recently recieved a recall for my 2025 gmc Acadia stating the onstar module was malfunctioning. This has been an ongoing problem since august. I haven’t been able to access my benefits that entire time. I just recently got my onstar fixed and now it’s expiring. When I spoke with an agent to get my onstar fixed over the phone the gentleman told me they would give me a credit for the months I went without.Bad telematics module
Our telematics module went out on our Cadillac Optiq April 2nd after an OTA update. We went through onstar for a diagnosis, were told they could not connect, and to make a dealer appointment. The dealer had no EV service appointments available until April 27th. The dealer confirmed it was a bad telematics module and placed an order. We are stuck with no onstar, no gps, no garage opener, no wifi, no supercruise, no access to music libraries, no scheduled charging, no access through the app. This is coming up on 2 months without common vehicle features and no ETA on a fix. Very disappointing that new modules are not being directed toward current owners.2026 equinox less than 3 weeks old, no connection
I dread writing this..after being so excited to hop into an ev. Immediately I was having connection issues..small things..could not connect when requesting music and navigation on Google maps..onstsr said, have the shop have a look..shop said all good..1 week later now I gave no onstar and GPS doesn't move my location on google maps. Now all I see is telematics issues online. What is up with the hardware provider.. I have a bad taste in my mouth and hope this negative experience doesn't fester. Can there really be that many people with issues? Onstar..Chevy. make this right asap. Now is your chance..Another Bad Telematics Module
I own a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox. My OnStar was spotty but working in March and April, but now went completely out. I called OnStar and they could not connect. They said it was probably the telematics module is bad and I needed to take it to the dealer. Took it to the dealer and after two days of trying to get the OnStar to work they said the module needed to be replaced. Fine, but the module is on back order with no ETA. I’ve read online that it could be up to a year. This is our only car and I pay a lot for my subscription. I do so because OnStar is something I rely on and now you tell me I’m without it for weeks, months… who knows? Plus I’m spending $$$ for nothing until it’s fixed. Someone surely has an idea of when I can get this fixed…don’t they?onstar telematics module
I have the same problem as everyone else... Onstar Module. I have a 2022 Trail Boss I bought in October 2024. Looking at all the defective modules and time frame to get a replacement my next step is a lawyer for some type of Class action lawsuit. GM should have had a recall on the defective hardware. How long are people waiting for their onstar module? My dealer advised me today that I need mine replaced. One of the many things I have going on is that I can’t charge on a schedule. Is that part of the module? So I can’t charge during off peak hours. Any advice would be great. Thank you.Real-time traffic on infotainment maps missing - '24 Escalade
Hi - I have a 2024 Escalade ESV V with traditional nav (not Google Built-In) that had real-time traffic capabilities when I purchased the vehicle new - December 2024. It would show color-coded traffic flows on the maps and reroute when navigating if there was a road closure or crash. That functionality ceased to function somewhere around the 6 month mark - certainly by October 2025. I have been trying to get the service back ever since. I think I have every OnStar subscription possible including those that profess to provide navigation and traffic. Does anyone know the service/source of traffic data on a '24 Escalade? Who is the provider? This is not a Google Built-In vehicle. HERE confirmed they provide the maps (SD card) but not real-time data. OnStar has flip flopped between suggesting I should be able to install an app - Maps+ (manufactured by MapBox) and mistakenly sharing Google Built-In reboot procedures. Maps+ is not rendered in my infotainment - I have used it in a 2026 loaner. The vehicle has been to the dealer twice for this issue, multiple OnStar cases and now a Cadillac Customer Care case. There is a lack of clarity around the source of the data and why it is not rendering on my vehicle. The dealer today told me I did not have a radio that supports traffic, only available in the highest trim levels. I have the highest trim available that year with the AKG Studio Reference infotainment system. FYI - the infotainment firmware is dated June 2023. Searching for OTA updates produces nothing. It occurred to me that the traffic was supplied by SiriusXM in the 360L trial - they have a nav and travel subscription which supplies traffic data. SiriusXM said my vehicle does not support their traffic service. This is driving me crazy. I need a technical expert. Thanks!HORRIBLE
2025 Chevy Equinox taken to two different dealerships regarding Onstar not working. After getting the run around, found out that the telematics module failed. My truck has been at the dealership since March 7, and was told last week that the part is still on back order. The dealership has no loaner vehicles so this has definitely been a horrible experience. At this point, something needs to be done! I’m tired of the excuses from all!
