onstar telematics module

My 2024 Equinox EV 2RS (Purchased brand new in November '24, only 1,568 miles on to-date) is now in the dealership for the third time due to what was thought to be a 12v battery problem. Turns out, it was a faulty Telematic Control Module that needs replacing, and the dealership that's working on it says GM has no timetable/ETA for the part?! The amount of posts on here reflecting how frequently this is happening should make GM want to have THOUSANDS of these parts on hand for immediate deployment, not arbitrarily informing dealerships, "There's no ETA." I'm a new mom and back to work for the first time since giving birth in October, and being unable to count on a vehicle to simply work is beyond defeating.6KViews9likes78CommentsOnStar Not working - 2025 Chevy Equinox EV
My OnStar failed 3 days ago. Took the car to dealership today and they said they need to order the replacement module and it is backordered. Very disappointed that this new car with less than 10K miles has this kind of issue. I see other owners also have the same issue. What is GM doing?500Views2likes19CommentsUnable to add Trailer Profile
I can access the trailer light test screen and run the light test inside the truck. Can anyone tell me how to access the additional trailer info. I would like to add the profile etc. I have contacted the dealer, gm and Onstar. After spending several hours trying to get an answer or a solution for this, I have reached a point of frustration. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. 2026 GMC 2500 SLE.28Views0likes3CommentsRecall/Class Action on Onstar Module ??
I join the many who have to have their Onstar module replaced. 2023 Yukon. No ETA from GMC on this backordered part. Time for a recall and/or Class Action! I cannot believe the number of people with the same issue! Has anyone's module come in yet?3.4KViews9likes60Comments2025 equinox ev- OnStar Telematics module - no dates for backorder part is unacceptable
I recently bought equinox ev 2025. In 5th month of use, telematics system stopped working. Dealership mentioned that part is nationwide back ordered with no estimated date. And i saw on many portals where same issue has raised by many car owners. Is this normal to have this part back ordered with no estimated date. And if GM knows the problem with this part, why are they selling such cars. Is there a way to raise this concern with any federal department?2.5KViews5likes40Comments2025 Chevy Equinox Active 5546 miles OnStar issues/Update issues
We just got our Chevy Equinox 2025 back in May and this morning we couldn't even open the doors. On Saturday I was on the phone with OnStar to troubleshoot why myChevy app and OnStar wasn't working and they told me to bring it to the dealership. This morning when we tried to get in the car, it wouldn't allow us and nothing was working. Battery is fine. The OnStar is preventing us from even getting in the car now. I called the dealership and they basically blew me off and said well there's no recalls but you can have it towed to us on your expense and we can run tests, also at your expense. Really Chevy? Really OnStar? I've gone on many message boards now this morning and learned that this is a huge issue since the last update and the OnStar module isn't working and it's also on back order. If that's the case, Chevy or OnStar need to give loaners until it's fixed or the Attorney General will be notified of this issue. Question is. WHAT CAN WE DO TO HAVE OUR CARS BACK!!!117Views1like3CommentsOnstar Module Needs Replaced
I have a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali that I had to take in for a dealer for them to tell me the OnStar Module needed replaced. My vehicle is over the 36,000 miles so they quoted me close to $750 to fix it. This $80k truck is only a year and a half old! Mileage should have nothing to do with this part. How is this not something that is covered by GM and/or OnStar? Especially after reading about so many other brand new trucks having this issue.18KViews20likes105CommentsOn Star Module
Technical and Service Support OnStar Support My 2025 Chevrolet Equinox has failed hardware — specifically the OnStar module. I was told this part needs to be replaced. Any idea how long that might take? I rely on this vehicle for long-distance travel with my son for sports, so navigation, remote lock/unlock, and remote services are essential. I loved my Equinox until these systems stopped working. Can you please look into this? Are replacement modules currently being manufactured or available? An estimate of how long it might take? Any assistance, guidance, or information is greatly appreciated. Thank you. I tried to send a private message to OnStar Support, but I received a message to try again later.87Views1like4Comments
