Location and GeoFence information not working on myGMC app
This feature worked for a very short time after I bought my GMC Sierra Denali and now only sporadically updates me on the vehicles location. My last truck was stolen at work and this feature is one of the deciding factors for my purchase. I've already gone through the usual uninstalling and re-installing the app and pairing the phone, etc. I added my wife as an additional contact to update the vehicles position, and low and behold, it updates her every time, just not me. My vehicle status, i.e. tire pressure, fuel level, miles, trip info, etc., has not updated in over 3 weeks. I've deleted/reinstalled the app, had a new signal sent, all of the things I've been recommended to try. None of these have worked. Hi MyGMC app will not update vehicle status. I've tried uninstalling, log out/back in, granted all app permissions, clear cache, restart phone, turn ignition on for at least 2 minutes then turn ignition off and wait 2-5 minutes. Still nothing. What is the logic behind update vehicle status, how is that supposed to work? I have Onstar subscription and vehicle is connected to my account. I have a 2019 Corvette and like many on this forum I can no longer get the app to show my vehicles current status for mileage, fuel level, oil life percentage. However the map location and remote commands work normally. I have tried deleting the app and reinstall to no avail as well as the refresh procedure. We got a 26 Trailblazer yesterday and activated our OnStar account. We have 8 years free of the MyChevy app features (remote start, location, mileage, etc) and a 2 month trial of OnStar. When I open MyChevy app, it is still prompting me to push the OnStar button to activate. It shows in the vehicle status that there is no OnStar account linked. When I go to link my existing account to MyChevy, the page is blank. I've tried through the app, mobile browser, and home computer and have the same issue. I called OnStar and they couldn't help. She said she escalated it, but provided no time frame on when I'd hear back. Despite all this the wifi works, but we have no access to the features of the MyChevy app. Hoping for some guidance since phone representatives have not provided any resolution.37Views0likes1CommentMyGMC app Not Worked From New
I bought a 2025 Yukon Denali on 7/1/25 and have been unable to get the MyGMC app to work. In that time, I pressed the OnStar button, called various phone numbers more than 13 times and racked up 8 Case numbers to no avail. All the people I have talked to can do no more than ask me to repeat their canned troubleshooting process and then say I will get a call back from a Support Technician. I got a call back once and they could only offer the same repeated steps to reset, login, delete/reinstall app, etc. This is the same when using my SE 2020 iPhone and my wife’s SE2022 and I believe there is something corrupt in my regular GMC account. People on the phone claim this issue has been escalated but I am now out of anything on my end I know of to have this fixed. Can other members offer alternative suggestions to get this working? Hi Have been paying for the OnStar Remote Access for my Volt for over a year now, and since the MyChevy app has been redesigned, I have been unable to access the volt specific menus. E.g showing overall efficiency, looking at battery details, and other plug in hybrid related items. I was told that those features were going to be rewarded, but that was 6 months ago. Also, I would like to put in a feature request to be able to remote start my car from the app even when the engine light is on (since I pay for it). I am totally fine with having an agreement I have to sign with onstar and Chevy in app that would waive any damages or issues with the vehicle relating to using remote start with a CEL on.33Views0likes1Comment
