Cannot accept User Terms for Connected Vehicles
When I go to my account in the MyBuick app or go to Onstar.com I am told that I have to accept the User Terms. I click accept and the app goes back to the top of the page saying I have to accept the terms. I am unable to view my account. OnStar has not been able to correct this problem. They assure me my account t will not be canceled but I am not able to view my account531Views1like5Comments2025 Blazer EV: Telematics Failure, No ETA, and No OTA Updates — What’s Going On at GM?
As an early buyer of the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV, I had high hopes. I believed in GM’s vision for the future of electric vehicles. But my ownership experience has been marred by ongoing support issues that I feel compelled to share for the benefit of other EV owners and prospective buyers. Shortly after taking delivery, I discovered that I couldn’t access Tesla’s Supercharger network—something GM advertised as a key convenience—because the required adapter wasn’t available. Even GM itself couldn’t source it for weeks. Eventually, I received one, but only after significant inconvenience and lost travel flexibility. More troubling is the issue I face today: a failed Telematics Control Module, which has disabled my OnStar system and cut off access to over-the-air (OTA) updates. That means my Blazer may not receive important software improvements or even safety-related patches unless I manually bring it into a dealership—something I was told would be handled automatically when I purchased the vehicle. There’s no ETA on the part. The dealership, sympathetic as they are, admitted that many GM parts are backordered and hard to obtain. They even encouraged me and others to reach out to GM directly—something I’ve now done repeatedly. Through it all, my Senior Executive Resolution Liaison, Amira, has been incredibly helpful. She responds promptly, remains professional, and has shown genuine concern for resolving the issue. But even she is hitting brick walls. I truly don’t know how she does her job every day without the tools she needs. Frankly, GM should be paying people like her double. I’ve tried to handle this privately and with patience, but I want to raise awareness among prospective buyers and encourage greater transparency from GM.Dangerous3324 hours agoPlace Technical and Service SupportTechnical and Service SupportNew Contributor29Views0likes1CommentVehicles Status won't update
My 2023 Acadia GMC App will not update. I have tried all the recommendations from other threads about this. The rest of the APP works as advertised. Please help me resolve this issue as I would like to see my current fuel level, oil life, tire pressure, etc.27Views0likes4Comments- 6Views0likes1Comment
WiFi Hotspot, No Connection to Internet
I have a 2022 Chevy Silverado, bought the thing used awhile back. The WiFi Hotspot has never worked, basically it will allow a device to join but does not actually route to the internet. I have had several other Chevy/GMC trucks where the WiFi/Onstar stuff worked fine, so I know it's possible. I have called onstar several times, today for the forth time to work out this problem. It is always exactly the same thing. Forget the network, leave the truck with the door open for a few minutes, jump through some other hoops. It always ends with, we have to open a ticket for their other support guys and they will call me back to let me know when the problem is fixed. Crickets... NEVER a call back, we have confirmed the call back number every time. From the customer service perspective this is pretty disgusting, make a commitment to a customer and fail to follow up on a service that has been paid for but non-operable. Every time the phone support guys focus on the toggle switch for "Share Hotspot Data" and the fact that it's impossible to toggle on, I'll attach a picture if the forum permits. Anyone know what that does or why it is there? The owners manual says nothing about this toggle. Maybe it's the problem but it makes no sense. Why would anyone want to toggle the ability to route to the Internet (or any other network) if you have already allowed the WiFi connection? Why would you connect in the first place if you didn't intend to go somewhere? Anyway, other network based apps work OK, Pandora, MyGMC, Weather, etc. Some kind of data routing is happening somehow, just not on WiFi. Anyone have any idea how to get WiFi routing to the net? Anyone know what the definition of this toggle switch is? Anyone know how to get past the first line guys and talk to someone who knows something?154KViews9likes35CommentsOn-Star Telmetric Module Failed
I bought my 2023 Chevy Tahoe brand new in 2022. On-star Module Failed a week ago. Dealership said my extended warranty did not cover it. Part is back-ordered with no ETA. They made me pay for the part before they'd even order it. From what I've read this is a widespread problem that chevy and on-star have known about. I very angry because the whole reason I bought this car was for the entertainment package that no longer works. From also what I've read it could be months before it comes in if it comes in at all. Something needs to be done.stbelyeu5 days agoPlace Technical and Service SupportTechnical and Service SupportNew Contributor II188Views1like8CommentsOnstar Module Replacement ETA?
2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Carbon Pro Bought with 10,000 miles. Have had it in service multiple times. Now the onstar module is out and has been for over 3 months. Dealership said it is on backorder. I bought this truck because it had the functions I need in order to drive safely as I have some disabilities. I am paying for a truck that most of the reasons I purchased the vehicle do not function. I am very disappointed in the level of service GMC has provided to their customers. What is the solution for this issue? Do customers receive any compensation for all of the time they are waiting for a new part? This is a safety issue for customers. I would think GMC would make this a high priority and let customers know the ETA to receive a new part, etc. This isn't the only problem I have had with my vehicle and it is very frustrating and disappointing. I am paying for a product that repeatedly has to go to the dealership for service and some of the most important features so not work and it affects my driving as well as my safety.osugigi265 days agoPlace Technical and Service SupportTechnical and Service SupportNew Contributor II7.7KViews9likes29Comments23 Sierra AT4
I believe my OnStar module is out. Strange thing though, it didn't seem like everything stopped working all at once. About a month ago, I noticed I wasn't able to start/lock/unlock the vehicle through the app, and it wasn't updating the vehicle information like gas/oil life, etc. Then it was maps and the compass. Now nothing works, including the OnStar button. I was in for a recall earlier this year that had something to do with the telematics module - does that ring a bell for anyone else? Are these issues connected?28Views0likes2CommentsTelematic Control Module needs replacement, but backordered with no ETA?! UNACCEPTABLE
My 2024 Equinox EV 2RS (Purchased brand new in November '24, only 1,568 miles on to-date) is now in the dealership for the third time due to what was thought to be a 12v battery problem. Turns out, it was a faulty Telematic Control Module that needs replacing, and the dealership that's working on it says GM has no timetable/ETA for the part?! The amount of posts on here reflecting how frequently this is happening should make GM want to have THOUSANDS of these parts on hand for immediate deployment, not arbitrarily informing dealerships, "There's no ETA." I'm a new mom and back to work for the first time since giving birth in October, and being unable to count on a vehicle to simply work is beyond defeating.jamiekmiller6186 days agoPlace Technical and Service SupportTechnical and Service SupportNew Contributor1.7KViews5likes44Comments
