On Star module broken
I ahve a 2023 Chevy Tahoe RST and the on star module has failed. There has been no connection since 8/31/24. The dealer has said it is on backorder and no ETA when a new part will arrive. Has anyone even had their on star module replaced if having similar issue? This is very concerning and upsetting as I pay for the subscription and have also paid an annual subscription for wifi that doesn't work. The clocks in my vehicle are all off and am not getting full functionality of the vehicle I paid top dollar for. The car wouldn't start a week ago because it was sending low voltage signals to every system because of the faulty module. Luckily the dealer got it operational again but said they can't just disconnect it because that would cause too many issues. Very very frustrated here....klkenny091748 minutes agoPlace Technical and Service SupportTechnical and Service SupportNew Contributor8.4KViews12likes26Comments2025 Escalade IQ on star connectivity issue
Pretty disheartening that I would spend over $150k on a vehicle that is already having issues within a few weeks of ownership. Vehicle won’t connect to instant and dealership is stating module needs replacing. Dealership isn’t sure when module will be available and may be months. Why would Cadillac not thoroughly test their products before release and after release have parts readily available? Would recommend anyone thinking of an Escalade iq purchase to reconsider and stay away.760Views1like4Comments2025 Yukon Onstar Module

I join the many who have to have their Onstar module replaced. 2023 Yukon. No ETA from GMC on this backordered part. Time for a recall and/or Class Action! I cannot believe the number of people with the same issue! Has anyone's module come in yet?98Views1like4CommentsOnstar module went out
I am very upset been paying for onstar and then found out the service was not even working due to the module going out. took it to the dealership and they want $800. To fix it how is the module my responsibility it is not a item that I should be responsible for especially since there is a $27. Bill for the service every month. How did I break the module I don’t even know where the module is. it’s not like tires where I use them and it’s my responsibility to fix. so in order to have onstar I need to magically find $800. To fix the module. (if my spectrum internet went out, they would fix the internet machine so I could continue paying the internet bill.) but onstar rather just say ooo well bye to your monthly payment then help with a solution to fix the module22Views0likes1CommentNone of my Driver Assist features work on my brand new 2024 GMC Denali pick up
None of my electronic Driver Assist safety features work on my brand new 2024 GMC Denali pick up. These safety features were a major selling point in my decision to purchase this vehicle. I have brought the vehicle back to the dealer several times to have the problem fixed. Finally, I was told that the replacement module needed is not currently available , and that there is no known date for the part to be delivered. It has been three months since the problem began. How many other car and truck owners are experiencing this issue and what is being done by GMC to resolve this problem ?12KViews6likes14CommentsEscalade IQ - Service High Voltage System
Our new IQ is already in the shop after less than 300 miles with a Service High Voltage System message. After being in the shop for a week, we were told that it was related to a water pump/ radiator failure. Now we are being told that after replacing the part that vehicle now has communications issues with the battery. We have been told that the local service center has contacted GM on information how to repair it. There are other less serious issues but real problems also. The hood and truck randomly opens when you walk by it sometimes. We also get a interior alarm notification every night. I requested a new vehicle but ofcourse they said that is not an available option without GM approval. It's unfortunate that we traded our paid off family SUV on this IQ and now are stuck in limbo.Atlantafleet3 days agoPlace Technical and Service SupportTechnical and Service SupportNew Contributor29Views0likes1CommentTelematic module
I called GM they gave me some information, but apparently this is still all on me to pay for. My husband and I have always bought GM vehicles and I hate to say it but this is going to be my last GM vehicle. I can not get this fixed and I am expected to pay over 1000 to fix an issue that I should not have to fix, so no I am about ready to take a loss and sell this expensive lemon because no one wants to take responsibility and fix the mess up. It is not my problem, the service was for 3 years not 36000 miles and then it shuts off. I have no sos, no navigation, no onstar period and no wifi. Yet this somehow is my responsibility it fix on a vehicle that is just over a year old. Do better, this is BS and with how many that are out you would think either onstar or GM would make it right, but apparently it is not important enough to keep customers happy and not moving to other manufacturers. It is ridiculous that with the prices you charge for the vehicles you can't stand behind the safety features. Do better, fix the problems and stop putting it back on the people that have already paid for a vehicle yet can not use features they were promised. I have had it with all the run around. You need to call here, this is a you problem not a me problem. Well when people switch to vehicles that are not GM due to customer service we will see how many jobs you have need of. DO BETTER.Jojo22735 days agoPlace Technical and Service SupportTechnical and Service SupportNew Contributor II87Views0likes3CommentsTelematic Control Module needs replacement, but backordered with no ETA?! UNACCEPTABLE
My 2024 Equinox EV 2RS (Purchased brand new in November '24, only 1,568 miles on to-date) is now in the dealership for the third time due to what was thought to be a 12v battery problem. Turns out, it was a faulty Telematic Control Module that needs replacing, and the dealership that's working on it says GM has no timetable/ETA for the part?! The amount of posts on here reflecting how frequently this is happening should make GM want to have THOUSANDS of these parts on hand for immediate deployment, not arbitrarily informing dealerships, "There's no ETA." I'm a new mom and back to work for the first time since giving birth in October, and being unable to count on a vehicle to simply work is beyond defeating.jamiekmiller6185 days agoPlace Technical and Service SupportTechnical and Service SupportNew Contributor105Views2likes2CommentsOnstar Module failed 200miles into ownership
We just bought a brand new, 2025 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate and this morning, a few hundred miles into ownership, the module failed. What a terrible experience. Six figure vehicle and we cannot use several features two days into ownership. Absolutely unacceptable. No supercruise, gps, internet, remote capabilities, nothing. We immediately called our gmc dealer and they placed the order for the telematics module but just like several other owners have experienced, its back ordered. Extremely frustrating experience63Views0likes2Comments
