Onstar F / Telematic Module Out
So my Onstar f/telematic module has been out for over a month on my 23’ Yukon and dealer says no ETA on replacements. This is NOT acceptable as controls, Onstar, super cruise, WiFi, rear screens, map updates, GM app, etc. This is a HUGE SAFETY ISSUE and as the safety aspect one of the major drivers of buying the vehicle this is simply not acceptable as also paying for Onstar. ONSTAR and GMC NEED TO GET THIS RESOLVED!139Views1like7CommentsQuestion
I have a 2018 Chevy Traverse. My onstar lapsed and now I can not make calls or answer them. My phone will connect as the phone will ring through my car but when I answer it the person on other end can not hear me. Also my vehicle will not start from my app. Anyone else with this issue. I have been charged $42.99 a month but not able to use all the services. Anyone else have this issue and what do I do about it?17Views0likes1CommentOnstar Module Needs Replaced
I have a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali that I had to take in for a dealer for them to tell me the OnStar Module needed replaced. My vehicle is over the 36,000 miles so they quoted me close to $750 to fix it. This $80k truck is only a year and a half old! Mileage should have nothing to do with this part. How is this not something that is covered by GM and/or OnStar? Especially after reading about so many other brand new trucks having this issue.purduecarter2 days agoPlace Technical and Service SupportTechnical and Service SupportNew Contributor II6.3KViews12likes19Comments2024 Chevy Equinox EV - don't take the SW update
Was always nervous about taking ownership of a GM car. I did because car was so much different then any other GM I had been in. The first few months were really proving me wrong, great car ........ but I spent my hard earn money on a car that after a software update, it can't call AllStar, use navigation, Google Assistance doesn't assist, mobile app never responds (worse then normal). I did hours of investigation by my self, I did the phone button down items both as a reboot and a factory reset, neither works. I reached out to OnStar 4 different times. First time they made me call a different number b/c they couldn't help me beyond what I already did. The second phone call had me hit the OnStar button that hung up the call. The third was decent person and realized my analysis was more thorough then her support pages and said she would connect me to level 2 support ..... they never came on the phone but told the primary support to tell me "we did a ping to your car, it will work in 2 hours". Attempt 4, sorry can't help, call this number. Mind you, every time I called, they have no record of what was previously done and you have to go through the same shenanigans each time. Who better to hold accountable than the dealership right? Go back to the service desk and you get, "we can't help you with that, you need to make an appointment for it to be diagnosed". $$$$. Didn't even listen to the fact that I have diagnosed 80% of the problem. Spoke to sales manager hoping he realized that less than 6 months of having the car, they are begging me to bring the car in to rotate the tires but they won't help make thing right. I might get a call next business day, we will see how much the sales manager follows through. I am mostly confident it is the TPM that messed up after the upgrade and that I am going to fork out the $$$ to get it replaced. The only thing I am not sure of is if I can do this myself. If this wasn't an expensive vehicle, this experience alone would have result it the car being in the bottom of a pond. GM, Dealerships, OnStar don't work together. Recommendation, don't do the software update (note: March 2025 Equinox EV)66Views1like3CommentsWeather Channel app not working
I‘m subscribed to the OnStar Preferred Plan. The other day I tried to access the weather channel app. I get this message “The weather channel app for Android Auto is being discontinued “. I do not use android auto. I called OnStar yesterday and was told there is a glitch in the Access app part of my subscription. They transferred me to the loyalty dept. They removed the plan from my account and added it back. That did not resolve the problem. I called back this morning and spoke to the same person in the loyalty dept. She transferred me to the Connection Center. They couldn’t help me after having me force stop the app. They opened a ticket to have Tech Support contact me. Can someone look at the notes that each department took and what they did at their end and had me do to resolve this problem? Thanks in advance.188Views0likes3CommentsInfotainment center and On Star not working
Issues started shortly before Christmas with the radio shutting off randomly or becoming unresponsive. By the time I went to the dealer on 12-26-2023 the infotainment center was completely inoperable. No radio, no OnStar, no GPS, no Wifi, and so forth. Dealer stated that a module needed to be replaced but the part was backordered with no ETA. We are close to the middle of February and there is still no word. Evidently from other threads this is not an unusual problem. For a 2023 Traverse, this is a very disappointing and frustrating experience!3.2KViews0likes5Comments2025 Escalade IQ on star connectivity issue
Pretty disheartening that I would spend over $150k on a vehicle that is already having issues within a few weeks of ownership. Vehicle won’t connect to instant and dealership is stating module needs replacing. Dealership isn’t sure when module will be available and may be months. Why would Cadillac not thoroughly test their products before release and after release have parts readily available? Would recommend anyone thinking of an Escalade iq purchase to reconsider and stay away.825Views1like8Comments
