Can't Use GM Rewards for Data?
Earlier today I called OnStar support to add an unlimited data plan to my coverage. I have a lot of GM Rewards points so I wanted to use them to pay for the data. First, the $200/year unlimited data price increased to 30,000 points which is $300/year, which sucks. Markup of 50% for using those valuable points! Then the advisor told me he was unable to apply the points "because I'm in Texas." What the heck???? What does being in Texas have to do with using GM points? Can someone explain this to me like I am 5? Thanks.
Cannot sign into Guardian app (iOS)
I have already tried deleting the app and rebooting, so please don't suggest that... 😉 I can log into the app with my OnStar email and password, but then I get to the phone screen. It shows the country code as +52 (incorrect, and not changeable). When I enter my phone number, it says there is an error and technical difficulties--which has been happening for several hours. When I tap on HELP in the upper right, nothing happens. Has anyone gotten this to work lately?Why do we have to pay for basic services?
I am trying to figure out why I have to pay for basic start/stop and lock/unlock features. My ford vehicles provides this service at no charge. It includes all the services that you charge $15 a month for. Maybe you need to look at how the Ford pass is set up for billing.OnStar Guardian App Questions
Hello—I recently purchased a 2022 Trailblazer at the end of December. I currently have the Remote Access OnStar plan, but I’m curious about the Guardian App subscription, the $15 per month one. Here are my questions: 1. Since I have a GM vehicle, if I subscribe to the Guardian App can I also use the built in buttons in the vehicle? 2. Do my family members who take advantage of the family plan need to be living in the same state or area as me? 3. Am I correct in reading that the vehicle doesn’t matter, the coverage follows the person via the phone? Thank you!no data plan
i bought an $85k truck, 2024 high country 3500. I get app access free for 3 years. onstar and data free for one month. Now that one month up i am pretty sure 85k is enough but no i have to pay a minimum of $25 a month for eternity to use NAV, and any other feature in the truck. There is something dreadfully wrong with this SCAM. i had no idea nothing would work without it. i promise i wouldnt have purchased the vehicle. Eveyone warns me about SCAMS and this is one for sure. I opted for this truck because it has HUD. I love the speed limit for each road shows up. NOT anymore, gotta have a data plan!!!!!!!!!!! Google maps is the new engine that drives everything in the truck. Also, AT&T is the carrier. they are the worst here in GA. is there a class action suit against GM for this ? Ill jump in for sure.
