Did you ever get a resolution? My mom is in the same boat, doesn't have a smart phone so this was a selling point in getting the car. Stopped working the day of the Verizon outage last week and have same exact symptoms. Onstar says to go to dealer. Dealer was so rude in making the appointment, not looking forward to bringing it in.
