Bring back the weather app!
I discovered yesterday that the Weather Channel app has been discontinued. I'm not happy about this! I use this app constantly. It's really the only add on app that I use in the car. I love it when I'm driving long distances alone and I need to check the weather. It's so much safer to look at the radar quickly on the screen vs trying to pull it up on my phone while I'm driving. I live in the Midwest and the weather can change quickly, especially in the spring and summer. OnStar is about being safe in your vehicle. I can't think of any apps that they offer that are more important to safety than the weather app. Please bring it back! I will definitely pay a little extra to have the app. It's important to me and my safety! I called OnStar yesterday to let them know my concerns about this decision. I hope they decide to bring it back!

Bring back a weather app. It’s about time for me to buy a new car. Guess what, it won’t be a GM.
A weather/radar app should be standard. Miss it on my 2025 Silverado!

Not on my 2020 Canyon Denali. Been having phone app update issues and spent time with IT tech yesterday and left with app not updating. About hour later app was working correctly on iPhone. As for weather channel app, it's not back on my basic minimally required OnStar subscription. Not sure what vehicle you have and OnStar plan, but that might make a difference. As for now, using Weather Radar with Car play.
I got in the car this morning and was happy to see the app is back. 😁 I hope this is permanent. This made my day.
You must be special because I ran out to my car to see if it was restored and no such luck. Looks like a few others still don’t have it yet either. Hopefully it’s a scheduled roll-out and we all eventually get it.

Your right I have a 2021 GMC Serria and it is not back. If they don't come up with something soon a bunch of us will be dumping onstar. We don't get what we pay for at all. And gmc wants me to buy new SD cards every year to update my navigation to.
What model care do you have? It did not come back on my Buick Encore GX.
Found it on my guest profile. When I log in to my profile it's gone, so I use the guest profile now. I'm assuming it's on the guest because that's what came loaded with the car.
I agree, I want The Weather Channel. I miss the Radar. It is also the most used App I had.
This was my second most used app in my truck besides CarPlay. I use this to help plan. Long distance drives without having to worry about messing with my phone. Bring it back!
Agreed! I just discovered it didn’t work today and then disappeared. I drive my vehicle all over the state for work and need this app to stay on top of the changing weather. Dodge has it, maybe it’s time to cancel OnStar? Buy a Dodge?

i used it every single day, sometimes more than once. i was needless to say pissed when it disappeared. my husband works for gm at a garage & he didn't know it was leaving us all far too soon & without warning. he asked someone else at work & they said my car wasn't compatible with it (2023 gmc acadia). i have myradar and i use it, but i liked all the info i got from the weather channel. considering carrot weather subscription but that's $60 a year (which i get it, isn't that bad compared to onstar, but is it worth it).
