MyGMC app not updating vehicle status since OnStar had to refresh my wifi signal a week ago.
I have a 2024 Sierra 1500 and my vehicle status has not changed since OnStar had to refresh my wifi signal in my truck 7 days ago. I don't know if there are any similarities but the vehicle stopped updating after the refresh. I have already done the power cycle of the truck (run for 2 minutes...off for at least 2 min...sign out of the MyGMC app and back in...have also uninstalled and reinstalled several times). I also have another vehicle in the app and it is updating just fine. The link seems to be the truck but not sure.

Same issue bought a new hummer ev and it updates every few days but remote controls never worked, and also from time to time it says my ONstar plan expired but called Onstar and it said it was active

I too am having this issue. I bought my 2024 Canyon AT4 on 3/21 and the app hasn’t updated since. I can access remote functionality and my 2021 Sierra is updating without issue. I have catted with OnStar and tried the troubleshooting they recommended (sign out of app, shut down phone, uninstall/reinstall app) and nothing worked.

Onstar needs to fix this if they want to keep customers. This is ridiculous.

I agree. I have the same problem, I can use the remote start, but no vehicle status update since the date I picked up my new Buick. I have done all the troubleshooting, restarts etc and still doesn't update.

Agreed, I have been having the issue for 3 weeks, app worked fine until the update for Apple Watch and about the same time I had to renew my subscription. Not sure what caused the vehicle status to not update. I have traded messages with London_C and Advisor Helen in this forum. I have provided VIN, iphone iOS, iphone model, and countless other details. No resolution as of 3-26-2025

I never had an issue with my 2021 Sierra but recently purchased a 2025 Yukon and the status has not updated since the day I bought it 6days ago. Remote functions work but the app still says 5miles and I’m up to 140miles

I too am having the EXACT same issue, already done the troubleshooting steps and logged out of app in the infotainment system TWICE with the same results.
My status says Updated 3 Weeks Ago:double_exclamation_mark:
I HATE abruptly being forced to update the Mygmc app, especially when it's working Perfectly Fine! Only to start having issues like this along with unable to remote start because it says mygmc service is not available!
Ya just have to love continuing to pay for something that doesn't work!

This seems to be an ongoing issue with many end users. My app shows last status update two weeks ago when I purchased the Sierra. Remote controls work fine. Just no updated status.

Same problem. Worked fine the night I bought the vehicle and set up the onstar account. Stopped working right when I took the truck home.....

I have a 2025 GMC Sierra that would update on my app when it was at the dealer. As soon as i got set up with onstar it quit updating. Its been 2 days and several drives. Funny thing, I had a 2024 Sierra prior to this and it did the SAME thing. It took Onstar a couple months of “escalating” it to a higher advisor. This went on for about 2 months and i finally gave up. One day some adviser called and whatever they did it fixed it. Im afraid its going to take that long again. Unfortunately not very many of their advisors know anything technical. They certainly have a problem.

I am having the same issue. I called into onstar this morning and they said they never heard of this. A quick online search and this this the first link to pop up... Seems odd. I will also be sending an email to the above to get a solution. Why pay premium money for something that doesn't work?

Has this been resolved yet? Since the update to the MyGMC app that occurred when the Tesla Supercharger network and NACS adapter ordering process were added back in September the Vehicle Status for my HummerEV SUV does not update (State of Charge specifically). I have uninstalled and re-installed the app multiple times, logged out and logged back in many many times. In fact the only way that I can get a status update from the vehicle is to log out and then log back in. I then get one status update and the status section hangs again. Can someone please help me with this. I got less than a week of functionality out of this app after the purchase of the vehicle. Thanks in advance.
