2024 Encore GX Remote Start
Hello! I had OEM GM factory Remote Start installed in my 2024 Encore GX in December 2024, complete with two programmed key fobs. It works great, but the option to remote start my vehicle from the MyBuick app never appeared as the GM dealership indicated it would. Is there a way this can be installed so I can enjoy the benefits of using the MyBuick app to start my vehicle? I do have an active Onstar Remote Access subscription. Any help is appreciated!14Views0likes0CommentsCan't add family member
We've tried several invites with no luck. My wife receives the invite email, but only gets as far as the "we don't see a product attached to this account. This is more than a little frustrating. I've seen many others with the same problem, but never saw a posted solution.12Views0likes0Comments24 Tahoe Premier Emergency automatic braking doesn't work
I only purchased my 24 Tahoe Premier vehicle 3 months ago and I actually am loathing this vehicle, which is sad for it's price and lack of features. It has been in the shop for 4 weeks of the 3 months I have owned it due to the problems, the must notable of which is the lack of the emergency automatic braking activation when needed. It will alert but will not brake, despite several alerts and close calls. I have zero faith in the "advanced safety features" of this vehicle and really regret buying it. The braking feature works with adaptive cruise control so the brakes work, but it will not brake in an emergency. I am getting ready to write a legal letter to GM due to this safety concern and if I get into an accident due it it failing to brake, after trying to get it fixed twice, I'm going to sue GM. As much as I'd love to get rid of this vehicle, I'm stuck with it. My 2019 suburban had more safety features than this new expensive useless vehicle, and I wish I could give it back and have my faithful Suburban back. I have be there loyal GM owner of 3 vehicles but there will not be a 4th.7Views0likes0CommentsEV features removed from app
I have a 2015 Volt and myChevrolet app no longer shows EV detail on the app. This includes charging status, range, charging options, etc. Also, the "vehicle status" detail that is shown is from 16 months ago (Dec 2023). All of this functionality worked fine a few days ago. I loaded and reloaded the app on multiple devices and they are all the same.782Views3likes39CommentsMyGMC Trailer Light Test
My GMC trailer light test functionality appears to have been removed or lost in the most recent update of the app - March 2025. I use this feature frequently. I called OnStar support today 3/9/2025 and they seemed confused regarding this trailer light testing feature. How do I get this trailer light test functionality restored in the app?1.1KViews7likes43CommentsMyChevy / MyGMC does not update Fuel, Trip, or Diagnostics
I have a 2019 Chevy Colorado with an active OnStar Remote Connection plan. Initially, everything worked perfectly, but two weeks ago, all diagnostics, fuel level, and trip data stopped updating. However, the map and remote functions continue to work without issue. Here are the troubleshooting steps I have taken so far: Updated my iPhone to the latest iOS version to ensure compatibility with the MyChevy app. Deleted and reinstalled the MyChevy app, but the issue persisted. Uninstalled the MyChevy app and installed the myGMC app (since I also have a GMC Acadia with the same OnStar plan) to test if the issue was app-specific, but the problem remained. Regularly drive the Colorado daily, so the vehicle should transmit data as expected. Confirmed the OnStar light is green on my mirror. Despite these efforts, the diagnostics, fuel, and trip data remain outdated. What other troubleshooting steps should I take?632Views2likes9Comments- 72Views0likes3Comments
Missing Remote Climate Control Feature in GM Vehicles with Google Built-In
I recently purchased a 25 Chevy Equinox. However, I was surprised to find that the remote climate control feature—specifically the ability to set the interior temperature from the mobile app before starting the car—is no longer available. After contacting an OnStar advisor, I was informed that this feature has been removed for GM vehicles with Google Built-In. This is a handy feature, especially in extreme weather conditions, and was one of the reasons I purchased a GM vehicle. This change has negatively impacted the overall convenience and functionality of the app experience for me.Solved489Views0likes6CommentsMyGMC app not updating vehicle status since OnStar had to refresh my wifi signal a week ago.
I have a 2024 Sierra 1500 and my vehicle status has not changed since OnStar had to refresh my wifi signal in my truck 7 days ago. I don't know if there are any similarities but the vehicle stopped updating after the refresh. I have already done the power cycle of the truck (run for 2 minutes...off for at least 2 min...sign out of the MyGMC app and back in...have also uninstalled and reinstalled several times). I also have another vehicle in the app and it is updating just fine. The link seems to be the truck but not sure.11KViews3likes33Comments
